States Led By GOP Governors Dominate US News & World Report’s Best States Rankings

Republican governors continue to show why they are known as America’s doers!

Per The RGA:

Republican governors continue to show why they are known as America’s doers as they work to increase job growth, cut taxes, and reform government. The latest proof comes from new rankings by U.S. News & World Report, which show that 7 of the top 10 states in the country are led by GOP Governors, including 4 of the top 5.

While Iowa, led by GOP Governor Kim Reynolds, was impressively ranked first overall, other states led by GOP governors featured in the top ten are Governor Gary Herbert’s Utah, Governor Doug Burgum’s North Dakota, Governor Chris Sununu’s New Hampshire, Governor Pete Ricketts’ Nebraska, Governor Charlie Baker’s Massachusetts, and Governor Phil Scott’s Vermont.

The rankings also featured numerous ratings based on specific categories, which included Governor Charlie Baker’s Massachusetts finishing first overall on education, while Governor Chris Sununu’s New Hampshire and Governor Larry Hogan’s Maryland finished as the first and second best states for opportunity. In addition to capturing the first overall spot, Governor Kim Reynolds’ Iowa also finished first for infrastructure and third for healthcare. Governor Rick Scott’s Florida also finished in the top five for economy and fiscal stability, and Governor Doug Burgum’s North Dakota finished first overall for quality of life.

As Republican governors continue to improve the lives of the residents of their states by lowering taxes, improving business climates, and cutting regulations, they are setting a clear example for effective, pro-jobs leadership in the states.
