Wisconsin Dem Gov Candidate Paul Soglin Embraces Massive Tax and Fee Hikes

As he seeks Wisconsin’s highest office this November, far-left Madison Mayor Paul Soglin is making it clear that if he wins, working families will pay more taxes.

The Republican Governors Association writes:

As he seeks Wisconsin’s highest office this November, far-left Madison Mayor Paul Soglin is making it clear that if he wins, working families will pay more taxes. Soglin is now pushing to impose a wheel tax hike that would lead to the “highest vehicle registration fees in Wisconsin” on Madison motorists, forcing them to foot the bill for his administration’s fiscal mismanagement of the city.

Since beginning his campaign, Soglin has made tax and fee hikes a central part of his platform, while opposing Governor Scott Walker’s pro-growth reforms and investments to strengthen the Badger State’s economy and job creation.

If elected, Soglin would only bring increased taxes and fees that would burden working families throughout the state, just as he has in Madison. While Soglin and his fellow Democrat gubernatorial candidates double down on opposing pro-jobs reforms, their promises to hike taxes and fees further show how out-of-touch they are with the people of Wisconsin.
