While Rhode Island Democrat Governor Gina Raimondo Concocts Phony Accomplishments, Transparency Issues Worsen

Rhode Islanders now have even less reason to trust Gina Raimondo with another term.

Per the RGA:

The same night Democrat Governor Gina Raimondo formally announced her intent to seek re-election, her administration was hit with an accusation of intentionally withholding information regarding a major scandal. A new report by WPRI-TVreveals that Raimondo officials knew more information than they divulged to state lawmakers at a recent hearing regarding the state’s troubled UHIP social services system.

The Chair of Rhode Island’s House Oversight Committee, Democrat Patricia Serpa, called these revelations the result of a “culture of frankly, lack of transparency” during Raimondo’s tenure. Despite claiming that her administration would be “the most transparent Rhode Island has ever seen,” Raimondo has proven to be the least transparent governor in America, failing to uphold the public’s trust as multiple scandals continue to grow deeper.

While Raimondo has been busy concocting phony accomplishments to run on with polls showing her in jeopardy of losing her re-election bid, her worsening transparency issues give Rhode Islanders even less reason to trust her with another term in office.
