VICE PRESIDENT MIKE PENCE: “The truth of the matter is, the people of Michigan face a choice this fall, and we’ve got to make sure that they understand that choice. When it comes to the governor’s race, Bill Schuette’s opponent has a record, it’s a record at the Statehouse. She actually voted against hiring more state troopers, she actually supports abolishing Immigrations and Customs Enforcement and let me make you a promise, under this administration we will never abolish ICE, we’re going to stand with those men and women every day. Gretchen Whitmer actually wants to repeal Michigan’s right-to-work laws and during her tenure at the Statehouse, she had a history of raising taxes. In fact, she voted to raise your taxes by more than $1 billion. The truth of the matter is, Bill Schuette’s opponent will take Michigan off the path of prosperity and Michigan Republicans aren’t going to let it happen, we’re going to elect Bill Schuette as the next great governor of the state of Michigan.”
