Possible Violation of State Ethics Rules Plagues Democrat Kevin Kamenetz’s Gubernatorial Launch

Will Maryland Democrats use every dirty trick in the book to try to bring back their failed tax-and-spend policies?

Baltimore County Executive and career politician Kevin Kamenetz revealed today that he’s running for Governor – but not before taxpayer time and resources apparently were used to prop up his campaign announcement.

Yesterday, the Washington Post reported that a Baltimore County employee, IT chief Robert Stradling, instructed government employees to give their 'full participation to support our County Executive as he makes this very important announcement.' Stradling used official communications to encourage government employees to attend today’s campaign announcement.

The Washington Post continues, 'The email could violate state ethics rules that prohibit officials from using government time and resources to support political activity or using their positions to benefit individuals involved in political campaigns.'

Will Maryland Democrats use every dirty trick in the book – even use of government time and resources for political purposes – to try to bring back their failed tax-and-spend policies?
