Political Ratings Experts Move Alaska Governor’s Race Towards Republicans

Political rating experts are recognizing Gov. Bill Walker's electoral vulnerability.

The RGA writes:

As Embattled Alaska Governor Bill Walker is plagued by dismal approval ratings, political rating experts are recognizing his electoral vulnerability.

In a recent report, Inside Elections moved their assessment of the Alaska governor’s race from “Toss-up” to “Tilt Republican.”

The new rating is further proof that Alaskans are fed up with Walker’s failed record of massive deficits, skyrocketing crime, and abysmal job growth. Alaskans know they deserve better than four more years of Walker’s failures, and now experts are agreeing that Walker’s days as governor may be numbered.

Roll Call has more details:

Alaska — Democrats helped Bill Walker defeat GOP Gov. Sean Parnell, but they don’t have any interest in helping him win a second term as an Independent. Walker may end up winning the Democratic nomination but without the party infrastructure and help from Washington, it’s tough to see him surviving in a Republican-leaning state. Move from Toss-up to Tilt Republican.
