Newsom Picks a Fight with DeSantis

Failed California Governor Gavin Newsom is seeking attention wherever he can find it.

As Joe Biden’s poll numbers hit rock bottom, failed California Governor Gavin Newsom is kicking the tires on a potential run for president in 2024. And he’s seeking attention wherever he can find it.

That’s why he launched a dishonest TV commercial in Florida, attacking Governor Ron DeSantis’ strong conservative record.

In the ad, Newsom says,“Freedom, it’s under attack in your state. Republican leaders, they’re banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors.”

Newsom concludes, “I urge all of you living in Florida to join the fight, or join us in California, where we still believe in freedom —freedom of speech, freedom to choose, freedom from hate and the freedom to love.”

Not only is Newsom’s ad full of actual errors, it also ignores the truth about Florida and Gov. Ron DeSantis’ leadership.

Under Ron DeSantis, Florida’s economy has grown while California’s has lagged.

Florida ended COVID restrictions quickly, while many of California’s small businesses were shut down for months on end.

Florida respected parental rights and promoted school choice, while California caved to far-left teachers’ unions.

Florida stood behind the police and upheld the rule of law, while chaos erupted in many of California’s largest cities.

And Florida has no state income tax, while California has the highest income tax rate in the country.

That’s why it’s no surprise that hundreds of thousands of people have flocked to Florida in the last few years, while Californians have fled their state in droves.

Gavin Newsom has wrecked his home state with socialist policies. And we can’t let him spread his failed agenda to the rest of America.
