New Jersey Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy Under Fire For “Patronage Pit” Festering In His Administration

Murphy’s mismanagement of New Jersey has gotten so dire that members of his own party are now openly criticizing his failed leadership.

The RGA reports:

Democrat Governor Phil Murphy’s mismanagement of New Jersey has gotten so dire that members of his own party are now openly criticizing his failed leadership.

Lizette Delgado-Polanco, who Murphy chose to run the New Jersey Schools Development Authority, has been accused of turning her agency into a “patronage pit” by hiring insiders and cronies for plum positions. New Jersey’s Democrat Senate President, Stephen Sweeney, expressed disbelief that Delgado-Polanco is still employed by Murphy’s administration and is now threatening to withhold funding for the agency as long as she remains in her position.

“Phil Murphy continuing to turn a blind eye to conduct so corrupt that even fellow New Jersey Democrats have had enough raises serious questions about his leadership,” said RGA Communications Director Amelia Chassé Alcivar. “In case weakening New Jersey’s economy through reckless taxing and spending wasn’t enough, the growing ethical issues in Murphy’s administration are further proof of how badly he has mismanaged his state.”
