RGA Chairman Governor Pete Ricketts of Nebraska announced a new initiative this week to preserve stories from Nebraskan veterans and ensure that their bravery and sacrifice is never forgotten.
The initiative includes a partnership between the Nebraska Sorghum Producers Association and the Nebraska Department of Veterans’ Affairs. Through this program, volunteers will interview veterans and record their stories so that they can be archived at the Library of Congress as part of their Veterans History Project. This exciting new program will expand on the over 2,000 stories of Nebraska veterans than have already been collected.
Preserving and promoting these stories is an important part of Governor Ricketts’ ongoing commitment to prioritizing Nebraska veterans and recognizing their service to their state and nation.
