Montana Democrat Whitney Williams Scores Coveted Hillary Clinton Endorsement

Williams’ campaign has also attracted a number of out-of-state liberal donors.

The RGA reports:

As Montana Democrats Mike Cooney and Whitney Williams are locked in an increasinglycontentious primary, Williams is turning to her former boss in a last-ditch effort to boost her chances.

The problem? That former boss is failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who lost Montana by over 20 points in 2016.

Williams’ campaign has attracted a number of out-of-state liberal donors including Hollywood actors like Ben Affleck and Washington Democratic operatives like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s chief of staff.

“Clearly Whitney Williams’ campaign is in freefall when she has to rely on Hillary Clinton, who was thoroughly rejected by Montana voters, for support,” said RGA Communications Director Amelia Chassé Alcivar. “Montana Democrats are now faced with the unenviable choice between a government bureaucrat who has been on the taxpayer payroll since the 1970s and a liberal Clinton operative bankrolled by Hollywood elites and Washington insiders.”
