As he builds his campaign around the continuation of Failed Governor Dan Malloy’s job-killing tax hikes, Connecticut Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ned Lamont’s commitment to raising taxes on working families is causing more problems for his campaign.
The Waterbury Republican-American reports that Lamont is not only doubling down on comments he made during a radio interview last week confirming that he will raise taxes, but he’s also pushing for a steep increase for Connecticut’s internet sales tax, a move that would further burden working families.
While Lamont desperately tries to distance himself from Malloy’s toxic image, his eagerness to support his failed governor’s tax hikes further shows that he is too out-of-touch to lead.
