Gov. Cuomo's Primary Challenger Already Throwing Shade

"...[H]e doesn’t bother with the people he perceives as the little fish."

Democrat challenger to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is already throwing him some shade.

From the New York Post:

Gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon is poking fun at Gov. Cuomo’s website – saying his slogan “Make New York Great Again” was still up even after Trump was elected, proving he doesn’t care about the “little fish.”

Asked about raising more small donations in the first 24 hours after announcing her candidacy than Cuomo has in seven years, Nixon said the point wasn’t that she raised a ton of cash.

“No, my point is that he raises massive amounts of money, but he doesn’t bother with the people he perceives as the little fish,” she told Glamour Magazine in an interview out Friday.

“So much so that his website, even after Donald Trump was elected, said ‘Make New York great again.’ That’s how little attention they’re paying to his website. It doesn’t say that anymore, but it said that. You’d donate on his website and you wouldn’t even get an email back saying, ‘Thanks for joining us.’ It was like an abandoned house with cobwebs everywhere.”

Nixon credited her campaign with “speaking to the every day New Yorkers” she says Cuomo has “completely neglected.”
