Florida Dem Gov Candidates Commit To Reversing Job Boom With Tax Increases

As Florida Governor Rick Scott’s pro-growth policies continue to deliver results, the Florida Democrat gubernatorial candidates are doubling down on reversing this progress through higher taxes.

Per the RGA:

As Florida Governor Rick Scott’s pro-growth policies continue to deliver results, the Florida Democrat gubernatorial candidates are doubling down on reversing this progress through higher taxes.

According to a new report, Florida created another 19,000 new private sector jobs in May, dropping the state unemployment rate to 3.8 percent. Remarkably, Florida has created over 1.5 million jobs on Governor Scott’s watch with 180,000 new jobs this year alone.

But, despite this success story, the Democrat gubernatorial candidates just can’t give up on their dream of higher taxes. Gwen Graham has argued that Florida’s taxes are too low, while Andrew Gillum is pushing a massive tax hike on businesses.

Now, recently declared Democrat candidate Jeff Greene is embracing this view, stating in a recent interview that Floridians are “undertaxed.”

The record is clear: Florida Republicans are committed to job growth and lower taxes, while Florida Democrats want to raise taxes.
