As the Election Day approaches in nearly 9 months, voters in Rhode Island continue to give Democrat governor Gina Raimondo poor marks for leadership. A new Morning Consult poll shows that her approval rating has fallen even further to an all-time low of 40 percent, while 47 percent of voters disapprove of her performance.
In April of last year, the same poll showed Raimondo’s approval rating at 48 percent, a number that WPRI-TV’s Ted Nesi called “soft,” especially with the Democrat Governors Association spending big on early campaign ads for Raimondo at the time. Less than a year later, Raimondo’s approval rating has dropped by eight points.

As apparent mismanagement scandals at various state agencies pile up, Oregon Democrat Governor Kate Brown’s approval rating continues to plummet. In just the past nine months, Brown’s approval rating is down 13 points and is now well under fifty percent as she heads into what’s expected to be a competitive re-election campaign.
A 13-point, consistent drop in approval in such a short span of time should be concerning to Brown as she pushes for damaging tax hikes that threaten to drive her numbers down even further. It’s more evidence that Oregonians are not happy with her tax-hike agenda and her inability to manage state government.
In Alaska, Gov. Bill Walker's ratings are also dropping fast.
According to a new poll by Morning Consult, Walker’s approval rating faced the largest net slide of any governor in the fourth quarter of 2017, falling 19 points compared to the previous quarter. A clear majority of Alaskans (55 percent) now disapprove of Walker, while only a meager 29 percent approve of his performance. As a result, Walker is now the most unpopular governor running for re-election in 2018.
Dem Gov. Dan Malloy in Connecticut is also facing approval ratings at an all-time low.
After years of imposing tax-and-spend policies that have hurt Connecticut’s economy and pushed the state into fiscal disaster, Failed Governor Dan Malloy is now the most unpopular governor in America. According to a new Morning Consult survey, Malloy’s approval rating has dropped to an all-time low of 23 percent while 68 percent of those polled disapprove of his performance.
