CNN’s Jake Tapper Eviscerates NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s “Crowing” COVID “Victory Tour”

CNN’s Jake Tapper used the opening of his show on Tuesday to eviscerate Cuomo for “revisionism” and “crowing” that is “offending a lot of New Yorkers”.

Per RGA:

As New York Democrat Andrew Cuomo spent the early part of the week taking a curtain call for overseeing the highest COVID-19 death toll in the country and unveiling a poster that looked so much like a hippie fever dream that many thought it was a joke, reporters who have been covering Cuomo’s virus response from day one had some strong words for his “victory tour.”

CNN’s Jake Tapper used the opening of his show on Tuesday to eviscerate Cuomo for “revisionism” and “crowing” that is “offending a lot of New Yorkers”.

Tapper also pointed out some key elements missing from Cuomo’s bizarre poster, stating:

“There are no illustrations, however, of the more than 32,000 dead New Yorkers – the highest death toll by far of any state…No depiction of the study that he could have saved thousands of lives had he and Mayor DeBlasio acted sooner…No painting…of his since-rescinded order that nursing homes take all infected patients in.”

CNN’s medical expert Dr. Sanjay Gupta weighed in critically as well, excoriating Cuomo’s lack of “humility” and inability to learn from his past mistakes, stating, “Victory laps are not the thing to be doing.”

Cuomo can “crow” all he wants – the numbers tell a vastly different story, one that New Yorkers are unlikely to forget.
