Arizona Governor Doug Ducey Partners With Business And Nonprofit Communities In COVID-19 Fight

In the ongoing fight against COVID-19, Governor Doug Ducey has stepped onto the front lines for the people of Arizona. Impacted individuals, families, and businesses small and large in the state have leadership they can depend on under a united front.

To provide a one-stop-shop source for relief and recovery efforts, Ducey launched the Arizona Together initiative, including a website, ArizonaTogether.org, where Arizonans can locate essential resources, donate funds or services, and connect to volunteer opportunities.

Governor Ducey’s Arizona Together also includes the creation of the AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund to support organizations in the state working on COVID-19 efforts, including companies and nonprofits providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to medical professionals, helping vulnerable populations, and expanding technology access for low-income students.

Key to the success of Arizona Together is partnership with the private sector and nonprofit community, and major organizations are answering Governor Ducey’s call to action. Contributions to the relief fund include a $5 million donation from the Ivy Foundation and $1 million from the Arizona Cardinals.

Governor Ducey has issued a variety of executive orders since the initial spread of the virus to protect Arizona citizens and businesses from financial hardship. Among them, the governor delayed evictions for renters for 120 days, removed barriers to allow restaurants to sell whole goods and food, expanded unemployment assistance for workers impacted by COVID-19, and enhanced access to telemedicine for patients and their pets.

As Arizonans work together to move from crisis to recovery, working families and job creators can rest assured they have a governor willing to take whatever measures are necessary to help them best weather the storm.
