“Sh*thole,” “Uh-Oh State,” “Nutty,” – Andrew Gillum’s Campaign Keeps Insulting Floridians

On a recent campaign conference call, a Gillum campaign surrogate attacked Florida as “a sh*thole.”

Per the RGA:

Florida Democrat Andrew Gillum is running for governor of Florida, but he doesn’t seem to have a very high opinion of the state he wants to govern.

On a recent campaign conference call, a Gillum campaign surrogate attacked Florida as “a sh*thole.”

But this type of rhetoric is nothing new for Gillum and his campaign.

Here are just a few examples of what Gillum and his campaign have said about Florida:

“Uh-Oh State:” At a recent campaign stop, Gillum disparaged Florida as the “uh-oh” state that can improve its reputation by electing him.

“Nutty:” In an interview last June, Gillum agreed that Floridians are “nutty” and the “craziest people in the world come from…Florida,” saying “it starts from the top.”

“So-Called Sunshine State:” Gillum’s Facebook account liked a post deriding Florida as “the so-called Sunshine State” and saying, “we’re so happy we moved from Orlando to uber-blue Maryland.”

“Dumbf*ckistan:” A Gillum campaign staffer was pictured wearing a T-shirt that derided Florida as “Dumbf*ckistan.” Gillum’s campaign initiallydefended the staffer, but ultimately fired him after other vile tweets surfaced.

Gillum is desperately out-of-touch with the state he wants to run. Floridians deserve better than a governor who repeatedly insults
